Qatar Contemporary : Art & Photograph, St. Petersburg Russia.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, the Qatar Contemporary: Art and Photography exhibition made its way to St. Petersburg, Russia, as part of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture. This exhibition was a remarkable showcase of contemporary art from Qatar, featuring the largest ever display of Qatar's finest artists.

As an artist, I was thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking exhibition, and I arrived in St. Petersburg on Tuesday 13th November in time for the VIP opening on Wednesday 14th November. The exhibition was open to the public from Monday 19th November until Monday 10th December 2018 and was held at The Manage in St. Petersburg.

The exhibition space was immense, and the collection of photography and contemporary arts was nothing short of spectacular. I was particularly excited to see the works of fellow artists that I have met during my residency at The Firestation last year, as well as at various networking events and exhibitions in Doha. Seeing their work showcased in such a well-presented and professional exhibit was truly inspiring.

This exhibition was a testament to the thriving arts scene in Qatar and the importance of supporting artists and promoting their work on a global stage. Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, this exhibition served as a reminder of the power of art to bring people together and bridge cultural divides. I feel honored to have been a part of such a meaningful event and look forward to continuing to showcase my work and contribute to Qatar's growing arts community.
